CurrPorts, port monitoring utility main window.

Monitor every port on your computer with CurrPorts (cports) freeware portable Windows application.

This Network monitoring tool displays a list of all currently opened TCP/IP and UDP ports. It's main window can be configured using "Options" menu to display or not: listening ports, established connections, information about closed ports (Time Wait, Close Wait, Closed state), items with unknown state, disconnected ports with no remote address, TCP ports, UDP ports.
For every port displyed on the list, CurrPorts can show you useful information about which process opened that port, where this process is located, version information, when it was created and from whom. Also in the "Options" menu there is "Mark Ports Of Unidentified Applications" option, which automatically marks with pink color suspicious TCP/UDP ports. If CurrPorts mark one or more ports with pink color, you should deeply check the processes that created these ports. It could be applications that simply doesn't contain any icons and version information e.g. executables of MySQL and Oracle servers, but it could also be a trojan or other unwanted application. CurrPorts allows you to close unwanted TCP connections, kill the process that opened these ports, and save the TCP/UDP ports information to HTML, XML or to a text file.
CurrPorts also allows you to configure it's columns (choose which columns should appear and change their order), use filters in order to monitor specific ports (Options -> Advanced Filters), create log file*, use command lines and integrate it with other useful utilities such as IPNetInfo which helps you to easily view IP address information from WHOIS servers. More information about using Currports can be found on related link below.

Operating System Compatibility : Windows NT (install psapi.dll in your system32 directory), Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. There is also a separated download of CurrPorts for x64 versions of Windows.

Be aware that the log file is updated only when you refresh the ports list manually, or when the 'Auto Refresh' option is turned on.
