Virtual CDRom Control Panel creates virtual CDROMs drives on Windows XP.
Quick start instructions :
1. Run the application by double clicking the "VCdControlTool.exe"
2. Click "Driver control"
3. Click on the "Install Driver" button. Navigate to the Virtual CDRom Control Panel folder, select VCdRom.sys, and click Open.
4. Click "Start"
5. Click OK
6. Click "Add Drive" to add a drive to the drive list. Ensure that the drive added is not a local drive. If it is, continue to click "Add Drive" until an unused drive letter is available.
7. Select an unused drive letter from the drive list and click "Mount".
8. Navigate to the image file, select it, and click "OK". UNC naming conventions should not be used, however mapped network drives should be OK.
If you want to erase the virtual drive :
1. Press the "Unmount"
2. Press the "Remove Drive"
3. Go to driver control then press "Stop"
4. Press "Remove driver..."
Download the self-extracting EXE file and run it in order to extract the files in a selected directory by you.
Launch "VCdControlTool.exe".
* IMPORTANT !
If your installation path contains unicode characters you may have poblems when you try to install the driver. In order to avoid such a problem you can copy VCdRom.sys to your %systemroot%\system32\drivers folder.
