SpeQ is a small freeware mathematics program with simple interface, useful for engineers, students and pupils or simply as replacement of the Windows Calculator. Portable and installable versions are available.
SpeQ is written to be an advanced but very easy to use math program. All calculations are entered in a sheet. In there you can freely add, edit and execute calculations. SpeQ supports around 100 built-in (mathematical, physical and conditional) constants, about 60 built-in functions (for Analysis, Arithmetic, Complex numbers, Hyperbolic, Integers, Logical, Probability, Numeral systems, Statistics, Trigonometry), allowing you to define your own variables and functions also. Some examples can be found here.
It is very easy to create plot graphs of your functions, using one of the available plot functions (Plot, PlotLogX, PlotLogY, PlotLogLog, RGB, Close, CloseAll). Every graph can be zoomed in/out, traced or moved and edit its grid and axes. You can find some plotting graphs examples here.
Finally, for beginners it is recommended to read "basic calculations.spq" sheet from the Repository. For SpeQ -3^2 equals -9 and (-3)^2 equals 9, because minus and also unary minus have a lower precedence than power. In the -3^2 expression first 3^2 is calculated and after that the result gets a unary minus.
To install SpeQ on your computer, download and run the setup file. If you want to use SpeQ as a portable application on your USB-stick or somewhere else you can download and unzip the zipfile.
